In LubeVPN, referred users are each responsible to initiate the referral and registration process by creating one’s own FREE CERT, which is an easy, one-click, one-time and free of charge action performed on everyone’s own device. Next, they may ask for their referrers to sign their FREE CERTs. Once signed, the referral relationship between a referrer (i.e. signer) and the referred user (i.e. the creator and holder of a CERT) are permanently bound to the signed CERT even if the holder later decide to renew it (i.e. paying and subscribing for MEMBER CERTS).

A referrer can sign an unlimited number of FREE CERT to one’s Citium Contacts (referred users) upon their requests, the number of valid FREE CERTs that one can sign are limited; and their validity is only revealed when the referred users (holders of the FREE CERTs) attempt to validate them. LubeVPN validates FREE CERTs on a first-come, first-served basis. The earlier a FREE CERT is signed doesn’t necessarily means that it has a higher chance of being validated, but rather depends on who first tries to validate one’s. In other words, there is a quota on the number of times the FREE CERTs that you signed can be validated by LubeVPN. The quota is determined by the level of your own membership level and the number of times that you have renewed them. The higher your MEMBER CERT level and the more time it is renewed, the higher the quota for signing valid FREE CERT.

Any signer (referrer) can sign an unlimited number of FREE CERT but the “validity” of FREE CERT is constrained by the CERT holding status of the signer. If the signer only holds a valid FREE CERT at the time validation, LubeVPN will only validate two (2) of the FREE CERTs that he/she signs on a first-come, first-served basis. LubeVPN will not validate latecomers. In other words, LubeVPN will deny further validation requests after validating the first and second requests until the signer of the FREE CERTs renews his/her own FREE CERT to MEMBER CERT. By then, LubeVPN will resume accepting a limited number of the late-coming requests for validating FREE CERTs that he/she signs.

- 180-DAY, quota increased by 28

A signer (i.e. referrer) who holds a FREE CERT or an expired MEMBER CERT is not entitled to earn anything. The signer of invalid FREE CERTs, even if they are renewed to MEMBER CERTs, is not entitled to earn anything. But as long as one holds a valid (i.e. unexpired) MEMBER CERT, he/she is entitled to earn redeemable points whenever the valid FREE CERTs that he/she has signed are renewed (i.e. paid and subscribed for MEMBER CERTs). Points can be gifted among MEMBER CERTs or redeemed for time extension on MEMBER CERTs. Every ten (10) points can redeem for seventy-two (72) hours of extension on a MEMBER CERT. Every time the CERT of a referred user is renewed to:
- 30-DAY, its signer can earn 8 pts
- 180-DAY, its signer can earn 50 pts
- 360-DAY, its signer can earn 100 pts
